Tropical Vibes with (Byrne)’s Hibiscus Breeze

I wanted to squeeze in one last post today featuring my friend Byrne’s latest creations.  This lovely outfit is “Hibiscus Breeze” and is a exclusive for FASHIONTROPIC 2015.  Hibiscus Breeze features a sleeveless crop top, trendy hi-lo asymmetrical skirt, and a feminine sheer silk scarf with a fabulous retro hibiscus design which comes in Crimson as well as Magenta.  The outfit is 100% mesh and worked beautifully with my Maitreya mesh body.  I just love the late summer tropical feel of this outfit, especially the extra touch of the flowing scarf.  Hibiscus Breeze is available at the (Byrne) Boutique along with so many other wonderful designs!

We all want to be mermaids…

Hey my lovelies!  Happy to be back at least momentarily to share some new looks with you!  The theme at Collabor88 this month is “Under the Sea”, and I was delighted to find so many mermaid inspired treasures from some of my favorite designers.  I put together this beach-y look today after a weeks vacation the the Carolina’s coast in RL.  The tan might be fading but thanks to Collabor88 I am able to hold on to my mermaid fantasy just a little bit longer.  Please enjoy!

Hey hey lovelies, have you checked out the latest round of Collabor88?  This was one of my favorite finds and I couldn’t wait to share.  Meet the new A/D/E Reijin dress in Gold by R2 Fashion.  This avant-garde, futuristic dress comes in several colors and has a one of a kind silhouette which I just adore.  I was actually looking for something for an Alexander McQueen inspired styling assignment, so you may detect some of his trademark looks in my look as well.  Head on over to the April round of Collarbor88 this weekend, it’s a great round!

2014 Colour of Couture Competition…I’m in!

Cheers lovelies!  Today I was honored to walk in the live casting for the 2014 Colour of Couture Competition.  If you recall the post from February 12, you will remember just how excited I was to submit for this wonderful competition.  Well, luckily from those photos I was chosen to walk in front of the CoC judges, an esteemed panel of well known power houses in the SL fashion industry.  The next day I was asked for an interview in ModeLS magazine!  Check it out here:

Our task for the live casting?  Create a look inspired by the Spring ’14 collection of Giambattista Valli.  Here are a few pictures which inspired my creation today…

I had a great time today sharing the runway with some good friends of mine and many people I admire greatly.  After changing my styling about 8 times I finally settled on the look you see above, which I felt showed enough leg, asymmetry, and bold color to do Mr. Valli’s creations justice.  Luckily the judges agreed, because I am now officially one of the 16 candidates chosen to compete in this years competition!  (And I can’t stop smiling).
