Today was an exciting day for the “Misses” competing in Miss Virtual World 2017. All 24 of us met for our first official meeting with Reign and DiamondGem, the CEO and COO of the Miss Virtual World organization. It simply wouldn’t be MVW if a style challenge wasn’t attached to the event! We were asked to create a look inspired by the following Fall trends, using at least three different designers and no “off the rack” outfits.
I had many similar elements to create the all black look above (4th from the left), but was afraid it would look too much like I tried to simply recreate that outfit. I then started gravitating to the pink look above (second from the left) and let that inspire me along with inspiration from some of the other styles in the photo. Coats seemed to be a theme in the suggested fall trends so I knew I wanted to incorporate that into the look. I’ve been wanting to wear this trendy fur coat by David Heather, and I loved the way it looked with the sequined high waist skirt by Tres Blah. I added the pearl bib by United Colors as my top for a feminine and opulent feel. The vintage Paper Couture hair I chose was inspired by the slick hair in look #3 above, and I added a hair ornament inspired by the ones in look #2 above (and also because I wanted to feel like a Queen at our first meeting…wink, wink).

Happy Saturday lovelies! Just look at this stunning new design from Zanze, the lovely “Vivienne” dress! “Vivienne” is a highly detailed vintage style dress in rigged mesh and comes in two colors, Champagne and Platinum:
Vivienne stuns with it’s frilly and romantic layers of fabric expertly placed over the sequin gown to enhance feminine curves. The ruffles create almost a Victorian bustle effect, but I found the total silhouette of the dress to be very 1930’s and therefore styled with that in mind. Head down to Zanze today to get your very own “Vivienne” and romantic spring evenings are sure to follow!

Woohoo! If you read my last post you know that I have been chosen to participate in the semi-finals for the 2014 “Face of Romance Couture” contest. This is a great honor for me and I just love the concept of the competition. All participants are given a box full of a gown with many additions/ variations, in several colors. We are also given a lovely makeup set by Madrid Solo in both gold and silver. The only requirements for the contest is that you use only the items in the box to style with (except of course for hair and accessories), and that you wear either the gold or silver included makeup. Girls, the styling combinations you can create with this box of goodies are ENDLESS! I played with several different looks before creating the concoction you see here.

Romance Couture is holding their first ever “Face of Romance Couture” contest and this was my entry (which got me into the semi-finals, yay!). I’m super excited about this challenge! Next up I’ll show you my first styling for the semi-finals. Wish me luck!

Happy Sunday friends! I have been feeling super motivated this weekend and decided to enter yet another SL Modeling Contest, called the Charleston Belle Pageant. I enjoyed visiting virtual Charleston, the architecture and colors and even the flowers on the Sim reminded me of the real charming Southern town. To submit for Charleston Belle, you simply need to go shopping on the Sim (torturous, right?), style and photograph yourself and submit your photos. The pageant submission ends on October 16. Why not have some fun and give it a shot?
